Mutt's Day

When it comes to holidays, July 31 has gone to the dogs – literally. It’s Mutt’s Day, an annual “howliday” dedicated to those lovable pooches without a pedigree.

While some people prefer purebreds, mutts are a combination of various breeds and are available in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors. Each one is unique and special. Mutts make wonderful petsand lifelong companions regardless of their heritage. While the origins of this particular holiday are unknown, there is another special howliday dedicated to those lovable and loyal mixed breeds or Heinz 57s. National Mutt Day is celebrated in December.

Please consider opening your heart and home to an animal in need. And adopt - don't shop!
