National Mutt Day
When it comes to “howlidays,” Dec. 2 is going to the dogs! Literally! It’s National Mutt Day, an annual holiday that celebrates those lovable dogs without papers – mutts.
Animal Welfare Advocate, Celebrity Pet Expert and animal lover, Colleen Paige, created National Mutt Day in 2005 in an effort to educate the public about the plight of the mutt. National Mutt Day encourages people around the country to adopt a dog-in-need from animal shelters across the nation instead of pet stores.
If you have been considering opening your heart and your home to a neglected, abused, abandoned or unloved pet, please consider adopting a mixed breed animal, before it’s too late. He or she will make a wonderful addition to your family.
