Happy Let's Laugh Day

Happy Teens

Let's face it. Americans are just plain stressed out! Today is about letting go of all that stress and having a good laugh or two! March 19 is Let’s Laugh Day!

While the origins of this annual “howliday” are unknown, people really need to take a moment out of their hectic schedules and laugh out loud! Not a tweeny, weeny hee-hee, but a good, hard guttural laugh. And whoever said “Laughter is the best medicine” was definitely onto something because many experts believe laughing isactually good for you!

The Benefits of Laughter

Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases antibodies, boosting your immunity to all sorts of illness and diseases. Laughing also helps relax your muscles and helps you relax. It helps your blood pressure and decreases pain as well. And laughing actually burns calories – how about that? And laughter is contagious too!

The next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or feel a little stressed out, laugh. Laugh out loud! It’s good for your mind and your body!
