Siblings Day
Besides Golfer's Day and National Farm Animals Day, April 10 is also Siblings Day! This annual holiday, sometimes referred to as National Siblings Day, celebrates one of the longest relationships most people will ever know – that very special lifelong bond with brothers and sisters.
Claudia Evart created the special day after losing both of her siblings at a young age. She selected April 10th in honor of her sister Lisette, who was born on that date. Evart is also the founder of the non-profit charity, Siblings Day Foundation (SDF).
While friends and spouses may come and go, siblings are the intricate fabric of our lives from birth to death. They share those special and not-so-special moments and memories in our lives only a brother and sister can understand. For those fortunate enough to have a sibling or two or three, today serves as an important reminder to cherish, celebrate and remember those incredibly special and sacred relationships.
