National Parents' Day: Celebrating Parents Across America
If you're a regular reader of HoliDailys, you know we celebrate all sorts of traditional and not-so-traditional holidays. From historical and religious events, important inventions, famous people and all sorts of wild and wacky occasions, this holiday honors a few of the most important people in our lives – our parents. It's National Parent's Day.
In 1994, United States President William Clinton, with unanimous approval by the United States Congress, signed National Parent’s Day into law. The annual event not only celebrates parents and families across the nation, but also recognizes and promotes the crucial role parents play in children’s lives. This annual celebration is observed each year on the fourth Sunday in July.
