Prime Day 2016: Global shopping event offers more deals than Black Friday
While millions of folks across the country are dealing with drought, fires, non-stop rain and/or sweltering heat, it’s hard to believe winter is right around the corner. Amazon has a big anniversary coming up and is inviting you to the big birthday bash. July 12, 2016, is Amazon Prime Day, a one-day shopping extravaganza touted as having more steals-and-deals than Black Friday! Yep, "that" Black Friday!
2016 marks the second annual Prime Day, which kicked off in 2015 as a way to celebrate the giant online retailer's 20th birthday. Touted as the biggest Amazon sales event ever, more than 100,000 price cuts for Prime subscribers will be part of the event plus there will be countdown deals in the week running up to Prime Day 2016.
Whether you shop at Walmart or Amazon, why not get a jump on all that holiday shopping in July? Think of it as Christmas in July. Because who wants to fight the crowds, packed parking lots and inclement weather when you can shop from the comfort of your own home during the dog days of summer? Happy shopping!
