National Kahlua Day

If your taste buds are craving something rich, creamy and decadent, you’re in luck! Besides National Strawberry Day, International Polar Bear Day and No Brainer Day, it is also National Kahlua Day! This delicious holiday is celebrated every Feb. 27.

Whether you prefer yours on the rocks, added to coffee or mixed drinks, this popular Mexican liqueur has been enjoyed for decades. This labor-intensive beverage, created back in 1936, includes 100 percent Arabica coffee beans grown in Mexico and sugarcane. After seven years, the mixture is combined with caramel and vanilla, allowed to rest for 8 weeks, and then bottled.
