National Bagel Day: Free Bagels Across the U.S.A!

If you need a little pick-me-up to kick off your work week without having to spend a boatload of “dough”, you’re in luck! One of the “hole-ist”holidays is hours away and Americans are ready to celebrate. Feb. 9 is National Bagel Day and that means one thing - free (and nearly free) bagels!

Bagels are delicious donut-shaped rolls that have been enjoyed for centuries. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, today's bagels are available in a variety of flavors and can be slathered with a wide assortment of delicious fillings. Not just for breakfast anymore, bagels can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner or for a snack.

In honor of National Bagel Day, some businesses and restaurants across the nation are giving away free and nearly free bagels in honor of the occasion. Today is also Read in the Bathtub Day and National Toothache Day.
