Hairstyle Appreciation Day: Try a new Doo for a Fabulous New You

April 30 is Hairstyle Appreciation Day, an annual holiday that celebrates the many different styles of hair. While the origins of this special day are unknown, today is the perfect day to give yourself a new doo for a brand new you!

Whether you prefer long, short, or somewhere in between, and wear yours in a bun, ponytail or up-do, our hair is one of the first things people notice about us. Our hairstyles often reflect our personality and sense of style. It wasn't all that long ago when the beehive, pin-curls, crew cuts, afro, mullet, the shag, the Rachel, pixies and bobs, were all the rage in hairstyles. But like the clothes and shoes we wear, hairstyle fads come and go.

If you've donned the same ho-hum doo for decades, why not try a different style or color and update your look in honor of Hairstyle Appreciation Day?

April 30 is also National Raisin Day and National Honesty Day! No lie!
