Happy National Cognac Day

June 4 celebrates all sorts of delicious foods and beverages. Besides Old Maid's Day and National Cheese Day, today is also National Cognac Day! This annual holiday, observed annually on June 4, is dedicated to Cognac, a type of Brandy produced in France. Made from white grapes, it is double-distilled and aged in oak casks for at least two years.

Cognac is not only enjoyed in a glass, but is also used in the kitchen as well. While the origins of this ‘spirited’ holiday are unknown, why not try one or two
