National Taco Day


Have you heard the latest? A delightfully delicious food holiday is a few hours away and Americans are in the “moooood” to celebrate! Oct. 4 is National Taco Day in the U.S.A which means free and really, really cheap tacos for hungry Americans. In fact, some refer to this delicious day as Free Taco Day.

While the origins of this annual occasion are unknown, National Taco Day celebrates all things tacos. This popular Mexican dish, typically comprised of folded or rolled tortillas, are loaded and topped with an assortment of amazing fillings. Whether you prefer yours stuffed with chicken, beef, shrimp, veggies or beans and cheese, folks have been enjoying tacos for centuries. Last year, Americans consumed more than 4.5 billion tacos!
