Card Playing Day: Are you ready to play a game?

Go grab the dice - it's time to play a game! Dec. 28 is Card Playing Day, an annual "holiday" that celebrates card games.

No matter how old or young you happen to be, almost anyone can play cards. While some games can be played all alone, others require more than one player. But regardless how many people play, all of them are just plain fun!

While the weather outside may be frightful and after the hustle-and-bustle of another hectic holiday season, today is the perfect time to unwind and relax with a great card game. In honor of Card Playing Day, why not gather up the family and make it game night? Grab some "chips" and a few tasty beverages, turn off all those handy-dandy electrical devices and spend some quality time with one another. Get ready to put on your poker face. Game on!

Just in case you need a little sweet treat to eat after working up a sweat playing your favorite card game, Dec. 28 is also National Chocolate Candy Day! Sweet!
