Happy National Reading Day: It's story time


When it comes to holidays, January 23 celebrates handwriting, reading and eating! Not only is it National Pie Day and National Handwriting Day, it is also National Reading Day!

This annual event, celebrated in schools all around the nation, encourages children to become lifelong readers. Millions of pre-kindergarten through third grade students will participate in a wide variety of learning activities to celebrate literacy.

In honor of National Reading Day, check out the following reading activities for children.
