Amelia Earhart Day: Celebrating an American Aviation Pioneer

July 24 celebrates an aviation pioneer. Amelia Earhart Day celebrates the birth of one of the most famous female aviators in American history. Search engine giant, Google, even created a special Google Doodle in honor of Earhart!
Amelia Earhart
Born in Kansas on July 24, 1897, Amelia Earhart was fascinated with flying ever since she was a little girl. Earhart would go on to become the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic and set a slew of other aviation records as well. But 40 years after her birth, the record-breaking aviator and celebrity would make history once again, but this time, for another reason.
July 24 is also National Tequila Day. Cheers!
