Brothers and Sisters Day

May 2 is Brothers and Sisters Day, an annual "holiday" that celebrates the very special relationship brothers and sisters share. While the origins of this holiday are unknown, there are several holidays that celebrate this special bond - Siblings Day, observed in April, and Brother and Sister Day, which is celebrated on the last Saturday in March.

Whether you have one, two or six, siblings share an incredible bond. From the moment we are born until the moment we take our last breath, siblings have known us, and put up with us, our entire lives. Relationships with siblings often last longer than many marriages!

While there may be a bit of sibling rivalry among even the best of us and siblings do squabble from time-to-time, most of us know our brothers and sisters will be there for us no matter what. We know we can rely on their unconditional love and support, despite any flaws or family feuds we may be having.

If you have a brother or a sister, today is the perfect time to send them a free card, give them a call or drop by their house and tell them how very blessed you are to have them in your life.

Speaking of family - May 2 is also Baby Day.
