Genius Day: Famous Einstein Quotes
Today’s holiday is a no-brainer! March 14 celebrates on one the greatest minds of all time - it's Genius Day.
Albert Einstein, the originator of the theory of relativity, was born on this day in 1879. He excelled at math and would go on to receive his doctorate degree in 1905 from the University of Zurich.
But it was during his years at the Swiss Patent Office, where he tinkered with various mathematical theories in his spare time, where the rest as they say, is history. He came up with quite a few ideas back then and some refer to 1905 as the “miracle year.”
His famous General Theory of Relativity was published in 1916 and a few years later, in 1921, he received the Nobel Prize for Physics. He was also named the Person of the Century by Time Magazine in 1999.
Dr. Albert Einstein married twice and had several children. After his death at the age of 76, his brain was removed and preserved for research.
