Happy National Old Stuff Day

From the very young to the very young at heart, March 2 is a day folks of all ages will enjoy! These annual holidays not only celebrate the birth of one of America's most beloved writers, Dr. Seuss, but it also celebrates, well, we aren't quite sure. March 2 is also National Old Stuff Day.

While most traditional and not-so-traditional holidays celebrate a specific person, place, product or event, there is some debate as to what this particular holiday really celebrates. Some believe National Old Stuff Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate and appreciate antiques, collectibles and hand-me-downs. It's the perfect time to visit your local antique shop or flea market in search of a hidden treasure. Or why not do a little dumpster diving or hit the road and go junking with your BFFs?

Other folks believe National Old Stuff Day has nothing whatsoever to do with old things. It's all about kicking things up a notch or two. If you are stuck in a rut and tired of the same ho-hum routine, today is the time to try something different. Do something you've always wanted to do. Start checking things off that bucket list. Regardless of your age, you really can teach old dogs new tricks.

Regardless of how you plan to celebrate, happy National Old Stuff Day!
