Hug a Bear Day

Nov. 7 is Hug a Bear Day, an annual “holiday” that celebrates, well, we’re not quite sure! Whether this yearly occasion could celebrate hugging, wild bears or the cute and cuddly stuffed animals, why not celebrate all three just to make sure you don’t miss out?

Did you know hugging is good for you? Research suggests that hugs boost our oxytocin levels, strengthen the immune system, elevate serotonin levels, boost self-esteem, relax our muscles and just make us feel good all over! Reach out and hug someone today!

Today is also the perfect day to learn about bears. Whether black bears, brown bears, polar bears or grizzly bears, why not learn some fun facts about these amazing animals in honor of Hug a Bear Day?

And finally, why not check out your stash of stuffed animals that have been gathering dust over the years? Who knows - maybe one of your beloved stuffed animals is a valuable collectible now and may be worth some big bucks. With the Christmas season right around the corner, why not donate one or two to a child in need and put a smile on a child’s face? Make today a blast from the past – send your own grown children their favorite stuffed pet and they can hand it down to their own children one day.
