National Brownie Day

If you're in the mood for a sweet treat to eat, it's your lucky day! Today is National Brownie Day. While the origins of this annual food holiday are unknown, folks around the country don't need an excuse to celebrate this decadent and delicious “holiday” on Dec. 8.

Brownies are squares of chocolaty goodness available in different flavors and varieties. Served nice and warm or nice and cool, some brownies are downright fudgy while others are more cake-like. Some include nuts, fruits or chocolate chips while others include cream cheese. Just how popular are brownies? They even have brownie ice cream! But no matter what type you prefer, brownies are little slices of Heaven that are hard to resist!

In honor of this special occasion, why not try out one - or two - delicious brownies today? Today is also National Christmas Tree Day!
