National Coffee Day

OK – here’s the scoop. If you need a little something to “perk” you up, you’re in luck. A beloved beverage holiday is almost here and Americans are in the mood to celebrate! Get ready to raise your coffee mugs, America. It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day in the U.S.A! Hooray!

Whether you prefer yours steamin’ hot or ice-cold, caffeine or caffeine-free, Americans sure love coffee. According to a recent NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto survey, nearly 60 percent of coffee drinkers couldn’t imagine going through at least one life experience like a new job, moving, having a baby, getting hitched or heading off to college, without coffee. And 55 percent of coffee-drinking parents said they may just have to “borrow” money from their kids’ allowance if that was the only way they could have a cuppa Joe! An earlier survey by Wakefield Researched revealed that Americans spend about seven minutes a day waiting in line for coffee and spend about $400 a year on those tasty specialty coffee drinks.

Whether you need a little pick-me-up or a jolt of caffeine to kick off your day, National Coffee Day celebrates a classic beverage Americans love to drink.
