National Green Bean Casserole Day

With Thanksgiving and Black Friday behind us, Christmas is just a few weeks away. The tree and decorations are up and now is the time to start planning your holiday feast. Whether you are heading over the river and through the woods to grandma’s house or hosting a big bash in your home, good food, tasty beverages and spending quality time with those near-and-dear to our hearts is what the holiday season is all about.

Dec. 3 is National Green Bean Casserole Day, an annual food holiday created by the Queen of Holidays that celebrates one of the most popular side-dishes frequently served during Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Not a veggie lover? No worries. Even folks who are not too fond of green beans, chow down on green bean casserole.
