Get ready to pucker up, America. If you’re looking for a refreshing beverage to whet your whistle, you’re in luck! If you need a little something to whet your whistle during the dog days of summer, go grab your tallest glass. Aug. 20 is National Lemonade Day, an annual holiday that celebrates a classic American drink.
While the origins of this holiday are unknown, folks have been enjoying lemonade for centuries! Lemonade is a tart yet sweet drink typically comprised of lemon, water and sugar that happens to be the go-to beverage of choice for fair-goers. While traditional lemonade is typically made with lemons, water and sugar, today’s lemonade is available in a slew of refreshing variations.
