National Mojito Day: Beat the heat with popular Cuban cocktail

Have you heard the latest “buzz?” A very refreshing day is here and folks around the nation are more than ready to celebrate! Get ready to raise your glasses, America. July 11 is National Mojito Day in the U.S.A! And after a long, hot week, nothing hits the spot like an ice-cold beverage, eh?

Considered a favorite drink of Ernest Hemingway and one of the most popular cocktails in Britain, mojitos are minty highballs originating from Cuba. These tasty drinks are typically made with five ingredients - rum, lime, sugar, mint and soda, sparkling water or tonic.

In honor of National Mojito Day, why not whip up a tried-and-true or brand-spankin’ new cocktail?
