National Name Yourself Day

When it comes to who we are, our monikers are pretty important. But if you've always wondered what it would be like to have a different name, you're in luck. April 9 is (National) Name Yourself Day! While the origins of this annual "holiday" are unknown, someone who didn't like their name probably came up with the idea.

Some are long, some are short and some are even hard to pronounce. Whether it's classic, traditional or on today's most popular list, most of us have no say-so when it comes to our names. But love it or hate it, chances are good you're stuck with it for the rest of your life.

Today is also Winston Churchill Day.
