Plant a Flower Day

It’s finally here! Spring is in the air. Today serves as another reminder spring has almost sprung – it’s Plant a Flower Day! While the origins of this annual “holiday” are unknown, Plant a Flower Day is always celebrated on March 12.

Depending where you live, why not grab up a few of your favorite flowers or bulbs and get gardening? If the climate is still too cold, why not start a few seeds indoors or in the greenhouse instead? And if you’ve never planted flowers before - no worries. There are plenty of helpful resources and tips to get you started.

In honor of this fragrant and colorful holiday, today is the day to get down and get a little dirty! It’s time to get your green thumb on! Today is also Girl Scout Day.
