Proposal Day: How to pop the question & put a ring on it

It’s time. It’s time to take the plunge and pop the question! No more sweaty palms and racing heart excuses. No more waiting for the “perfect time”. It's time to get on bended knee and finally put a ring on it! No matter how old or young you happen to be, this is the perfect time to celebrate love, commitment and that very special person in your life – it’s Proposal Day.

Observed on March 20, the annual holiday was created in the 70s by John Michael O’Loughlin after a relative patiently waited for over seven years for her beau to pop the big question. He wanted to give procrastinators an incentive to take the plunge. In fact, if you can’t get your nerve up, Proposal Day can be celebrated twice a year – on the Vernal Equinox or Autumnal Equinox.

In order to make sure you get an "I Do" rather than an "I Don't," be sure to check out these helpful proposal tips before the big day!
